WILDERLEY
Resort Back to Nature
About us
Wilderley is a unique recreational farm resort in the heart of the Waveney Valley, East Anglia. It is also a showcase for the promotion of green energy and sustainable living.

Set on a 40-acre hobby farm, you can stay with us in a range of hand-crafted, solar-powered accommodation, interact with a broad variety of over 100 free-range animals, relax and reset body and mind in our bespoke yoga facility and take a unique flight in a light aircraft (coming soon: in the world's first electric aircraft!).
Unique Escapes
From an Arts & Crafts Treehouse with a Narnian-inspired garden, a ranch-style Goat Camp for families to a Victorian railway carriage and a floating boat overlooking the valley; each space has been curated to inspire and charm - with decor objects sourced during the owners' flying adventures. Each boutique accommodation has its own private space with no shared facilities. Collect your own eggs, pick herbs and veg from our Wilderley garden, and browse our little farm shop for Wilderley-related gifts to take back home!
There is direct access to the Broads and award-winning walks across the Waveney Valley with only a 20-minute drive to the coast. This is the perfect spot to de-stress and get inspired. Wilderley is set three miles between two charming market towns of Bungay and Beccles with a multitude of independent shops and restaurants.
We also cater for your parties and events. Pre-book our cutting-edge yoga facility for your health and well-being, a little roundhouse for wet-weather BBQs and a UFO spaceship should you be in the mood to watch a Sci-fi film. Our animals can be invited for your birthday party, or you can impress your hen party guests with an exclusive alpaca walk!

What our customers say
  • Danny, UK
Staying at the treehouse shattered all my expectations, I'd strongly recommend booking now before the owners realise how great this place is and put the price up! I felt like I was staying in a work of art rather than a treehouse. Very much regretting not having a go in a plane or walking with an alpaca but I have a feeling I'll be returning!
  • Annie, London
Goat Camp was the most wonderful place to stay. It was absolutely beautiful, cosy and snug, and set within the most amazing farm. I highly recommend the alpaca walking as it's great fun, and you get to find out all about the history of the farm and the animals that live there. The local recommendations were great, and we had a brilliant time exploring Beccles, Bungay and Southwold. We will certainly be back!
  • Rachel, England, United Kingdom
Wow! What an amazing space. The tree house is an incredible place to stay, very creative, unique and well breath taking. You can definitely tell how much time and effort has been put into the tree house. Everything you need for a simple stay, with plenty to find and explore nearby. We loved our one night stay, and can't wait to book again. Celeste, thank you for having us! Your farm is simply beautiful!
Wellness at Wilderley
Wilderley's 'Yoga Park', a unique wellness centre, is the perfect spot to de-stress and get inspired. Our purpose-built, cutting-edge facility (opened in March 2019) specialises in Yoga, Meditation, Mindfulness, Reiki, healing massage therapies and has the unique addition of a Russian Sauna and more!

We personally interview and select the finest therapists that Suffolk has to offer to reflect our ethos of providing the best healing for you.

If you are a health practitioner wanting to book your own retreat, we can accommodate groups of up to 20 people (sharing) for both half day and residential.
Relax & Reset
More and more research points to nature and animals being the true healers. We have a number of animals free-roaming on the farm and positively encourage your gentle interaction with them.

Wilderley's main attraction is its diverse range of furry friends - from 'Bear' the Skunk, a trio of Rheas, to 'Zeus', our mini llama, 'Ruble' the Patagonian Mara, a team of naughty pygmy goats, 'Ralph' our giant rescue pig, and our 'guardian goose' Geoffrey, as well as an eclectic collection of rescued birds, including peacocks, chickens, runner ducks and many more.

You can meet the animals now by clicking the button below.

We had a fantastic time yesterday, the ladies were all really lovely, they made us feel so comfortable and at home and the setting is just beautiful. The alpacas we walked were hilarious, each with their own personalities and stubbornness, only walking at the pace they wanted to walk!
I would recommend this experience to anyone, people of all ages will enjoy meeting and walking the alpacas and meeting the rest of the animals. You can see how well looked after they all are and how happy and content they seem. We will definitely be back!
  • SUE HERVEY SAYS
Well, if we only do one proper day out this summer it has to be the farm and alpacas at Shipmeadow!
We booked a private slot with all the animals just for us to see on our own for three hours and with no other visitors, we could have not had it any better and felt totally relaxed! Thank you to the farm team - it was an amazing, well-run, socially distant visit for us. Taking all our health considerations in mind, we were so pleased. Happy kids, happy mum and dad
  • TRUDY WOOLF SAYS
What an amazing opportunity to walk with the Alpacas... after a stressful week I couldn't believe how calming this was, the information you get to learn about these gorgeous Animals is fabulous.... the ladies certainly know there stuff and the love & affection that are in her voice as they talk about them really does shine through the work they are doing / or going to do in near future is second to none - not only for the Alpacas but the other animals they rescue on the farm.... they are a no kill farm so every animal that comes through there gates finds its forever home.... and what a fabulous home it is... You truly won't be disappointed... I didn't want to leave I will definitely be going back & recommending this place to everyone I know. My Grandchildren all enjoyed it, so did my kids, but most of all SO did I.
